Has anyone put Poly bushings on a Spitfire? Does it make the ride too harsh?
Also, my front tires on my Spitfire are wearing bad on the outer edges. How can I fix this before I replace my tires?

They're fine is a street Spridget....Spitfire should be similar. The bushings you *don't* want to run on a street car are the solid alumimum (racing) ones.

A side benefit to the polys is: they are *much* easier to replace when they're worn. The stock rubber/steel bushings seem to get fused into place.

Devin -- My daily driver is a 1987 BMW, which I have had quite a bit of front end work done to. My suggestion would be to do the bushings first, replace the tires, and have an alignment done immediately. The alignment shops typically like to do the set-up with new tires as it gives you a true measurement on the machine. This is what I have always been told, and so far it seems to have worked very well.
