I signed up way back in March when I thought I was nearly ready to have my TR7 back on the road -- wrong! Getting the engine running is a LONG way from being roadworthy, as I should have known. Now I'm mired down in brake and clutch work, to be followed by rust repair and who knows what else. So I'm a bit late introducing myself! I'm not sure what to say here except that I've owned my share of British cars over the years -- an Austin Healey 3000 that never ran, a Sprite that was a hoot to drive, a Midget of course, and the only one I still have, a 76 or 77 (depending on how you count) TR7. I bought this one brand new in November 1976 and it was my only car for years. It failed a safety inspection in 1991 and I was busy raising kids, so it got parked in my garage where it's been ever since. The kids are grown and now it's time to get this thing sorted out and back on the road. I see there's talk of a Gathering next year -- it could be just the motivation I need! Attached (if I've done it right and not exceeded the file limit) is a picture of the car when it and I were a LOT younger...my goal is to get it looking 1/10th that good now.

Welcome to the BCF.

You might try the photo attachment again... it seems that the real limit is a little less than that specified. Good luck with it... and the car, too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif
