OK, #11 is all set for another race on Aug 19.
This one is at Pocono and it's a one-hour enduro.

After snapping three axles (at the Pittsburgh Vintage) , I discovered the rear axle housing was bent like a pretzel (probably from a previous crash at an EMRA event at BeaveRun). I put in a "new" axle housing plus made some other changes, so all should be good to go. I'll see if the extra "inner" axle seals reduce oil seepage onto the rear brakes. Same 3.9 "open" gears that I always use.
I did all this before my daughter's wedding last week so that it would be all ready (after the wedding, we left for a week in Virginia Beach).
I just changed the engine oil today plus some other little things.

As usual in our enduros, we have one mandatory pit stop where the driver has to get out. I'm going to practice quick-change "belting up" later today (I've found that it's quicker to remove my helmet and put the harnesses on myself).

We'll be using the "long" course which is a combo of the north course and south course with a long (for Spridgets) connecting straightaway plus some connecting inner roads. We have a couple of old Craftsman Series Trucks that run this event.....always interesting to see them whistle past me on that straight at about 160 or so.
Last year we did a "LeMans Start" at this event, but I've heard no mention of it this year.
There'll be one other Spridget (a fast 1275 Mk II) so I'm hoping to keep him within sight and wait for him to break.

Nial,

Who is the EMRA contact for corner workers? We're planning on working Saturday and time trial on Sunday and wanted to sign up for working in advance (I have the TT registration info.

Thanks,
Chris

Kevin Lindenmuth sent me an E-Mail a couple of days ago about flagging.

The Poconos is a bit too far for me.

Besides, we decided on doing the BeaveRun regional this weekend.

Good luck to you this weekend......No more "blender spins" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pictures from our Pocono one-hour enduro on Aug 19 (a horrible rainy day). My pal, Bruce, won in our tiddler class in his Mini, partly because he actually had a roof and wipers. I fixed his wiper arm about 5 minutes before he started (he had it positioned 180 degrees off).
Anyway, I passed a Factory Five Cobra on the last lap, which was sort of fun.

Thnx to Dave Z. for pix.
