My name is Morgan (but I don't own one, yet). I have a bit modified 67 Lotus Elan and I drive the wheels off it (not literally), putting it to good use on the canyons. I am an professional automotive photographer based in LA. Looking forward to making some new internet (and in real life) friends

Welcome, fellow LA guy! I'm a moving pictures guy myself, but dabble in still as a hobby. I rarely make money off it though!

Thanks.
I do mostly magazine and PR work
So do any of the Angelino's get together for drives?

Welcome!
I got to drive one of these cars a while back. They are ridiculously fun to drive!
If I can ever get passed all my other mechanical projects (likely, never) I'd really like to have one.
Here it is parked next to my "Japanese Elan" daily driver (which felt like a giant SUV after the Elan).

There are various clubs in the area which have marque-specific events. I usually organize holiday fun runs but this year's 4th of July run is no toging to happen because I will be out of town and no one else was willing to lead it. I guess Memorial Day will be the next multi-marque run. We start in Malibu and drive through the Santa Monica Mountains.

It is ridiculously fun to drive for sure. I get to drive a lot of cars through work and, so far, the only car I would rather have than the Elan is an Elise and even that is questionable.

I posted pictures of the car in the Lotus forum

Unfortunately, the Lotus "club" (if you could call it that) in LA does nothing. I have been going out with the Elise club, and while it is fun going on the drives (into Malibu and Angeles Crest) and I have been welcomed in, I was hoping to get together with more classic cars.

There was just a west coast Lotus meet in Morrow Bay and Big Sur that lasted a few days. That was a lot of fun, but only a handful of classic Loti showed, and about three dozen Elises.

Another new member with an original (and stock) '69 Elan in LA. I represent my father who owns the car and has no time to do anything regarding forums. We are hoping to do some drives with old cars like us and make some new friends with old cars. Was introduced to this site by the starter of this thread and our only Elan friend, Mopho.
