View Full Version : SCCA Petition

This is going around on a number of sites so I figured I'd list it here.
There is a petition going around that is an attempt to get the SCCA to limit it's work on the "pro-racing events" and return more to it's "grassroots club racers".
Apparently, many members feel that the pro-racing events are costing too much time and money at the expense of the "little guy / amateur racer". (I just looked through the signing list and see some of my friends listed).

I am not taking a side on this....but it seems like a useful thing to consider.

Disclaimer: I am not an SCCA member (anymore...this is part of the reason I left).

From what I read, its just a petition to call for a BOD disclosure of finances.

Sounds good to me.

I'm a member, and I don't know much about national level operations. BUT ... I'd think that an organization like the SCCA would be required to report their finances ... After all, it's a membership based organization.
