As you can see, I'm a new member around here and am kind of finding my way in the dark.
I've been looking for years for a model of the early Elite, preferably in 24th scale, but so far have had no luck.
I used to campaign one in Southern Calif. events back in the '60s. At that time my car was a green 64 Elite with a large yellow stripe, (including the helmet). I'd love to be able to build a replica for the shelf, as my driving has slowed a bit although I find my current Spitfire still keeps the adrenaline pumped up occasionally.
If anyone has a clue, I'd appreciate the hint to bluespit@attbi.com Thanks

A company named "Profil24" makes a resin kit. It's available already built for big bucks although I expect the kit price is reasonable. I expect a quick google search will find a die cast if it's available.

Welcome to the forum.. I'll keep my eyes open for an Elite kit for you.. I have a very nice Elan kit.. with photo etched metal parts and everything.. I swear it's more complicated than the real car! images/icons/shocked.gif

If I recall correctly, Kyosho makes a die-cast model of the early Elite.

But don't quote me either.

Hey, thanks a bunch guys, this gives me a clue that there is sumething out there.
I saw a model built from the Profil24 in one of the model contests in a magazine a while ago, but haven't been able to locate them yet.
Once again, thanks for the help.
Hope you all have a great New Year.

Not really what your looking for but you can drive a Lotus Elite around the streets of London in the new 'The Getaway' game on the playstation 2! images/icons/grin.gif

Also has Esprit and Elise as secret hidden cars!

Go to eBay and search for "Lotus Elite". There are currently several models listed - none looks perfect but they're better than nothing.
