Just wondering. What kind of welder would a beginner need to pick this babe up and restore it?

Thanks for your knowledge.

Heck no, Paul. A little POR-15, some JB Weld, and maybe a bit of WD-40 and you're good to go. Go for it!

Or as we say... "That'll buff right out".

I love how he notes that the distributor cap is missing.

I'd use an acetylene torch rather than a welder on that bad boy! The gas cap looks good though! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I can't believe almost it has gotten almost 600 views since it was listed.
I would like to meet the seller in person, "junkyarddog82", he has to to be a real character.

Whatever would work best to permanently "lock" your cashbox or wallet. Sad to say, but I'm not convinced that there's still $50 worth of usable bits there. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gifSome aluminum siding bits, pop rivets, and bondo and it would be as good as new, just like on "Pimp My Ride!" You don't need no stinkin' welder! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The question is actually...why would you NOT buy a welder!!!
Forget the car...everyone needs a welder ...no matter what!

Paul, you don't need a welder for that. Some strategically placed duct tape, some structural bailing wire, a new coat of paint and it'd be good as new.
