Welcome to the British Car Forum Tiki-Wiki

What is a wiki? The term Wiki is short for wiki-wiki, which means quick in Hawaiian. The first Wiki was created (and dubbed "Wiki-Wiki") by Ward Cunningham, a Portland, OR computer programmer, in 1995. The largest Wiki is the remarkable Wikipedia, which now contains more than 300,000 publicly-contributed entries.

If you are new here, please have a look at the following 4 pages, before you jump in:

  1. TikiWiki (a general discussion of wikis)
  2. The BCF Wiki (discusses the purpose of the British Car Forum Wiki)
  3. Getting Started (discussses what you, as a BCF member need to know to start collaborating with others here in The BCF Wiki)
  4. Wiki Style Manual (To help ensure all the pages and article are "somewhat" consistent, have a look at the style manual)

Starting Point: The links below are the major starting categories for you, as a BCF member, to jump in and start collaborating. With the exception of this main page and some of the administrative pages I've made, most of the pages on this wiki can be freely edited and new pages created withing existing pages as you see fit.
