Placing Links in Posts

How to Place Links to Other Sites in a Post (return)

When you are in the text edit window, you can place a link in your post in two ways. You can either type in the complete URL to another web site, offsetting it with the UBB Code for URL, as seen in the example below, or you can use the URL Button (explained in step 3).

Step 1

Step 2

Once you click the "Add Add New Topic" (or "Add New Reply") to save your message, then go back and view your message, you should see the link you posted contained in your post, as seen below. Anyone reading your message can click the link to go to that web site.

Step 3

As mentioned, the other way to post a link(and the easier way), is to use the "Instant UBB Code" button for URL, as shown below:

Step 4

Then a box will pop up, as shown below, where you fill in the COMPLETE URL of the Site you want to post. NOTE: You must include the entire URL, including the http://www part.

Step 5

Then a second box will pop up, as shown below, where you fill in the Site Name! This is what people will see as a "link" they can click on to go to that site.

Step 6

Once you click the "Add Add New Topic" (or "Add New Reply") to save your message, then go back and view your message, you should see the link you posted contained in your post, as seen below. Anyone reading your message can click the link to go to that web site.
