Second engine i have built many engine before but never a straight six I would like to get the correct manual for the tr6
the motor has been short blocked and had .12 off the head so i want to get the right manual so i can time the cam correctly since i forgot to mark stuff before i tore the motor down.
Thanks

also some one tell me how to post pics so i can show the progress,,,,,

skaqroovy, There are several places to get a kit for the rear frame. It boxes in the rear end. which is a weakness, as the rear front support will rip out on the right side. If you have a pre 1973 car, a front "A" frame kit is a must if you plan to do any high speed turns. Check with TSI and some of the other performance shops==You will be amazed at what's out there and how much of your cash will make the car a great show/race (please don't be a trailer queen!!!)

Boxing the rear differential is mandatory if you are going to increase power. Check out your front suspension gussets as well, they should be reinforced as well. The "t-shirt" area is often torn or banged to heck as well.

Keep us posted.

You can also make your own plates to strengthen the rear end. If you know what cam you have, the information should be available online at www.hottr6.com . Unless you have replaced the old gears, chances are you can use the old timing marks as it worked out for me with an Isky Z19 cam. I just referenced the old gears timing marks for a starting point, then dialed it in as per spec.

I got really luck with the frame no rust and all the welds look good thatnks for the advice for the front a arms I had seen that mod but forgot about it...this car will be driven hard at the track a reliablity will be key For me. I am not understand Rear mods suggested for the rear other that boxing in the diff mounts what about wher the trailing arm mount to, and what about front axle upgrades? I am planning on good parts r200 diff upgrade and half hasfts and axles any one got pics....also and one know where I can get a patch panel for the right rear of the rear valance ony rust on the tub it would be nice is some one pre manufactured those....the motor like I said will be mild maybe in the 130hp area is all...

As far as the panel, you can get a new one, make a patch, or if lucky find an old panel to cut up. Not aware of patch panels.

Who supplys the front a frame kit you speak of and what does it prevent or help also I am replacing the rear axle with goodparts but what about front axles?

you could get the stronger front axle stub kit, I just did mine a few weeks ago, now if I can get the rear brakes from leaking, the new wheel cylinder I installed leaked. I got a new one and waiting on brake shoes
