OK,
I can understand the fact a 34 year old XJ6 can be difficult to find parts for. I can. But a radiator cap?

Please, I can find almost anything I need except this so...called $10 dollar part.

Any clues and retrofit suggestions would be great! I need the cap for the thermostat housing. The rubber seal has cracked but other wise the construction is in great shape.

Have an Awesome week end all!!

Patrick

Hello Patrick,

This should be an easy find with the usual suppliers:
XK's Unlimited - http://www.xksunlimited.com
SNG Barratt - http://www.sngbarratt.com
Welsh Jaguar - http://www.welshent.com

To name a few....

Good Luck!

I would go first to a CarQuest, Autozone, NAPA, Advance, PepBoys, etc. and get a STANT cap with the pressure release lever, very handy for these hot-running cars and little money.

try to search online, the problem is that if you look for "Jaguar", they show no listings at STANT's site!! Get a 9 or 12 pound cap, it will do fine, but check your Manual, or call a local Radiator Shop. Original OEM radiator caps are not exactly up-to-date, there's better technology out there.
