Wait till you follow one that gets thier "fuel" at the local fish fry or Chineese buffet... I worked on several of them while in Ithaca NY.. most of 'em stink on the inside too.

Wasn't somebody here experimenting with it in an old Volvo? I suspect that was me... I have an old Peugeot that I played around with using vegetable oil. I found that mixes of up to 50% were very useable, but more than that affected cold weather starting too much; and given Scotland's weather that was a major draw back. With the decline in oil prices it's not really economic anyome, if retail prices have to be paid for vegetable oil. Using new oil rather than re-cycled is actually quite pleasant- rather than the chip-shop stink it smells of flowers a bit. If oil prices go back up, and if global warming makes Scotland more Southern Californian in temperature, maybe I'll re-start using it....

I discovered the same thing when I looked into running my Nissan on veggie oil.

I dunno - a little extra garlic and oregano might be just the thing! Just the thing for a Pizza delivery van....
