I'm watching out of curiosity. When I started typing the original post, it was $4550. When I made the link a few seconds later, it was $7900!

Would love to. One of the eternal questions:

"Retirement income... or Traction Avant...?" wink

Gorgeous!

Believe it or not, I saw one at a New Jersey hot rod show with a 350 Chevy V8 in it.

Only in Jersey! sick

I really love ~2CVs~ and hope to own one some day.

Mickey, you are preaching to the choir here as well. I love Citroens, and the Traction Avant is a "must-have" in my book. These do command decent money, so I'd be interested in seeing what his reserve was. This is a nice example......

They are pretty, and this one seems to be a good example. Northshore Imports website shows an asking price of $27,995. http://www.northshoresportscars.com/used-inventory/

I would like to get a 2CV also, I hear the prices are reasonable, seen them on ebay... but out here people are asking more then I believe there are worth.
Not as nice looking as the Traction Avante....... but still brings a smile !! thumbsup

there is actually one of them in my neighborhood. Belongs to a local mechanic. I understand that he has a few more interesting cars hidden away. the one for sale on E-bay looks nicer than his but he uses it on a regular basis

from the ad:

"It was the car of choice for the French Revolution during WWII."

I always thought that the French Revolution was a few hundred years before WWII! Guess that is why I am not an historian jester

Ok guys.....I'll sacrifice for the cause and go see it! I know, I know....it's a perilous undertaking but I'll put myself in jeopardy! laugh I am in total agreement on the aesthetics this car. I'll let you know how it is "in person"!

Crude, bog slow, French. But I've always liked them - I guess because of their jaunty appearance. (As a Maigret fan I'm forced to like them anyway.) Saw one being driven in a highway rest area last summer.
