Value of parts?

Hi All, I have quickly realized that I will not be able to afford to rebuild my Healey to its stock condition. I was thinking about selling off some of the stuff I have to recoup some money to add to the budget.
I just wasn't sure if some of this stuff is even worth selling. The car was torn apart and sat in storage for 22 years. The engine was pretty much down to the block, and the block is pretty rusty along with the head(bare). I do have all of the hardware for the heads (valves/springs/ect..)
I was hoping that I can get some incite on here as of what to do with the stuff I wont be using. Just a short list from the top of my head. All of this is from a 1960 3000 BT7. I also am not sure if some of it is good. I am sorry if I put this in the wrong section but I wasn't sure where to put it and I dont want to just junk it all. If this stuff is pretty much worthless and someone needs some odds and ends please let me know what you need and I will be glad to let you have it for shipping as long as you can use it. Anyways thanks for taking the time to read this.
Chris
Complete front suspension (shocks/control arms/ect..) Engine block (rusted) flywheel (rusted) Head (rusted) Trans (complete unsure of condition) Carbs/intake Rear end with shocks (rear end needs rebuild) Hard top (actually in decent shape)

Is the trans a sideshift one? Is it assembled?

Is the trans a sideshift one? Is it assembled? Not sure what a sideshift is, it is assembled, my father also told me it was in working order but it has been sitting so long I wouldn't count on it. Send me your email and I will get you a picture this weekend.

Hello 1960AH Pops, When you say you don't know if you can afford to rebuild your Healey to stock condition how much are you going to save by rebuilding it to some other condition.
If you sell these parts you will still need to buy more parts to rebuild the car regardless of what you want it to end up like.
One of the main reasons I like these cars is you can build them up the way you want and believe me I've done that. I believe it's your car therefore you can do what you like with it.
There are many times when modifying a car will cost way more than doing it stock it just depends on what you want.
I will take the carbs off you if you really want to be rid of them as I have a friend looking for a pair.
Best regards,
bundyrum. Thats just it, I have been working on cars for years and have an entire 2 car garage full of parts. The price difference between the AH stuff and some domestic parts is pretty drastic. I have had a few people even say they cant believe I would even fix this car. It is a project that's for sure, but I have seen what some people have started with and I don't feel the task is to big. Also, I will do all of the labor myself. I am pretty good at fabricating the things I need. I also know quite a bit about modifying cars, I just finished restoring my 1986 mustang that now has 525 dyno proven HP with the supercharger. I even thought about selling my mustang to offset costs to rebuild back to original. But with as many parts that are missing it still wouldn't come close. I am also fairly young (just turned 29 the 13th) so maybe if I held on to it for a while longer and saved over the years it would make it easier. I do have a pretty good career but when I hear about people spending close to 100K on their restoration, I know I wont have that option, epically being a single guy with a house and 1 income. I know there are a lot of die hard enthusiasts on here so I don't want this to turn into "what you should do" type of thread. I just figured that if I am not going to be using these part then I would like them to go to someone that will be able to use them. It would be one thing if the car was a complete car when I got it but it was completely torn apart before it was stored. I don't even know if the block is usable, there is a lot of rust on the cylinder walls because it was all dissembled when I got it. Even if it is good I would still need to buy the entire rotating assembly and the parts are pricey. Ok enough of me rambling on, I do understand what you are saying and appreciate the advise but in my situation I need to do what I think I can accomplish. BabaKahawa, I will be in the garage this weekend and see if I can find the dip stick.

I spent quite a bit of time in the garage yesterday. So far I found 1 of the carbs, I know the other one is in there somewhere. I will be back out there today to try and get everything in 1 pile so I can take an inventory.
On the dipstick, do you need the actual stick or are you looking for the tube or tube/stick? I see the tube is still in the block but haven't come across the actual dip stick yet.
The trans is a sideshift, I see what you are talking about now. I will get you a few pics today.

I think that steering pump is for another car. On the intake manifold, is that for 2 (my guess) or three carbs? Maybe I should have said steering box? And yes sir, the intake is for 2 carbs. The box has a long shaft attached to it.

Ok so I am having the hardest time figuring what some of this is worth. I have a few people interested in parts but I have no clue what is a good/fair deal for both parties.
Maybe some incite from those that may have an idea or even some that may have bought these parts used in the past.
The first item is the transmission with overdrive, I will assume it needs an entire rebuild. Neither of us have a clue as a good asking price.
The second/third items are the convert. top frame. This still works fine and appears to be in fair/decent shape. Finally the side curtains, the glass looks like it will clean up pretty nice, one of them has a small piece about the size of a fingernail missing from the frame.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
