I had ordered a new set of 6" stainless wires from Dayton (ordered through XKs Unlimited) fitted with new 185 R15 Vredestein Sport tires and new knock offs! They said they were out of stock on the 6" wheels but expected to have them for shipping on the 15th of October. Imagine my surprise when they were delivered by UPS today! A full week early!

These are really going to look nice!

You do know, you're going to be afraid to drive it when it's all done.

Knock a hole in the front of your house, push it into the front room, fix the hole, and just sit and look at it, right?

Basil,
What did you have on there to start? I'm looking for 16" steel wheels that will fit an XJS hub for my XK 120 replica. Call me at xxx.xxx.xxxx if you got them.

no I had 15in wheels. Not suitable for a 120. Dayton probably makes the wheel you need. ( by the way I x'd out your phone number lest you start getting spam phone calls). If you want to provide someone your personal phone, I suggest you use Private Message for that.

Dayton has wires in 15-16-17 and even 18" that bolt on XJS hubs. If, instead you are looking for original pressed-steel Dun lop look (without fukll chrome cover as originally fitted to XK120) then check out our discussion in other cars. http://www.britishcarforum.com/bcforum/u...steel_wh#UNREAD It will cost extra to ship from UK and 16" is almost double price of 15", but realmengineering produces a good looking alloy rim.

I had thought about painting it to match the car (like the on Roy Scheider drives in "52 Pickup") but the more I look at it the more the contrast of the black top is growing on me.
