A while ago I suspected a dizzy problem and sent it off to Jeff at Advanced Distributor at the recommendation of this forum. After some minor set-backs (broken Lucas dist. cap and too short wires) with Jeff's help my BJ8 now goes like a "bat out of heck". Smooth as silk. The intermittent hesitation I've had forever is gone! The acceleration is much improved. Turns out I had a slightly bent dizzy shaft with a little side movement. It came back so clean it didn't look like mine. With the new advance springs the timing needed to be advanced a bit to get max power. Once the sweet spot was found (with Jeff's help)she purrs with power. Best money I've spent on the car in years. I highly recommend Advanced Distributor and Jeff is a great, patient guy.

Always good to know the right people for the job.
Bat out of heck you say...
Watch out for flashing lights in your rear view.
Congrats,
Roger

I've had Jeff do distributors for me as well. He always does great work.

Made the tractor motor in my mum's Spitfire almost feel like it was really doing something!
