Hi Gang,
I hope everyone is doing well. I was going through some of my repair manuals tonight and came across a chassis alignment diagram. The diagram was marked for a BN4 to a BJ7.Does anyone know if a 65 BJ8 frame shares the same measurements as a BJ7? As always, I appreciate your help and hope you are all having a blast with your Healeys .

Hi Bobby,
Some of the measurements are shared, but the BJ8 does have some differences. Namely the rear frame rails, I think the outriggers on the exhaust side are different too.

Bobby,
I know that the rear of the frame is different as they increased the ground clearance on the Phase II cars. They did this by changing the frame. They also added torque boxes and did away with the pan hard rod. I believe that from the front or the rear leaf springs forward, the frame is the same but someone more knowledgeable than I should verify this. Hope this helps and have a good day!

Hi Bobbyr, '65 MK3', were either Phase 2 or Phase3. I've owned both. Early BJ8's were the same as BJ7's. Those included '64&early '65. Phase 3's frame differed in rear as they kicked down below rear end housing for additional road clearance(body set slightly higher)& also had radius rods above leave springs. Also outriggers were cut for separate mufflers, w/ reasonaters across the rear. A few other small changes. Hope this adds clarification, cheers Genos2
