Photo is so dark, finally oriented to the chrome 3-spoke steering wheel, and rotated my monitor. All is well! All is well!

I didn't ask specifically about the carb discrepancy but he is a really pleasant kid who is actually looking for one in running/driving condition. Lady next door to him has an MGB hardtop with no car for it (divorce thing) which is apparently looking for a new home too. I'd bet he'd make you a deal on the Corvair in the background at the same time. Heck you could put the body on the Corvair, have six cylinders, and leak oil just like the original! Think of the handling with the engine in back!

It was extremely rotten...a Sawz-All with a new blade went thru it like a hot knife thru butter. I salvaged the steel wheels, rear axle and springs but the front end was not recoverable - rusted utterly solid. Have had the engine and tranny out and dry for years; interior was in pretty poor condition and it was tossed out several years ago. Heck, the car was free when I got it...used it, a rusty red Midget and a green Sprite to build my first car on that old white '69. Still, sorry to see my first Midget go... and a toast to the good times we had...
