I will be there. Ticket in hand. There is a shipping centre on site, via DHL.

Do not worry about your new shoes...they will be full of water in a few hour's time.

Bring a brolly to help keep you dry. There is also a bank on site.

You are on your own as far as the driving bit!

What are you looking for?

Cheers,

David.

David, Thanks for the information. Should i look into getting tickets in advance? I am not looking for anything special except a headlight lens for a MG J2. I do not know what a BROLLY is. I think DHL has pulled out of the USA so that may not work if i purchase something to be shipped. I am sure some parts will want to follow me home! I heard something about boot vendors on sunday. We are arriving at Gatwick on friday morning. Bob

No problem, Bob. You should be able to buy a ticket on Saturday morning. I believe that the gates open at 10 am? Would be there early, as the main road is only two lanes...and watch out for the wild ponies. DHL may have been replaced with another company. A brolly is a umbrella. Boot vendors happen on the Sunday in the car park. I will be racing on Sunday. I will be hitting Gatwick on Wednesday...be doing this for the last 10 years. Sometimes do the Spring meet as well.
Cheers,
David.

I have a piece of it in the garage. I will get a pic of what i have and post it. The car belongs to a friend that is moving to the Orlando Florida area. The car is locked away near me and i may be able to get access to it after the 27th of september. Bob

Here are a couple of pics of the broken lens. The flutes can be felt on one side only and the vertical flutes do not extend all the way to the edges along the sides. There is about 7/16? inch of flat glass there. Bob

The lens I have available might be too convex. Here is a photo.

It is 7-7/8" diameter and is about 2" tall at the highest point. The outside is smooth, flutes do extend out to the side.

The numbers on the lens are as follows.

12 o'clock - 2B89 M2
5:30 - 507686
6:30 - No. XD 7148

That lense looks to be a TC unit. Did you check with Barry?
Cheers, D.
