Does anyone know where I can find the tool that takes off the cover of the pin and roller bearings inside the later Healey 3000 steering box. I need to replace the roller bearings and the cover seems jammed on. I expect the tool is a bar with two pins the stick out that engage to two holes in the cover. none of my work shop manuals give any info on the later steering box.

circlip pliers sounds like what you want. Any autoparts store, Sears. Long needlenose pliers can do in a pinch. I assume you are talking about the cover of the adjusting pin. But there is no need to pull the pin apart. Just lift the pin out. As for the ball cage, after removing the pin, once the rocker shaft is removed and the end cover, it all slides out.

Cir clip pliers were to flimsy. I finely made the tool out of bar stock by drilling two 1/4 inch holes spaced just over 3/4 of an inch apart then inserting two 1/4 bolts down through the holes. Two nuts held the bolts tight but the bolts protruded past the nuts just enough to engage the roller pin cover. Several sharp taps with a hammer and the cover came loose. I was then able to replace the pin and the rollers. Thanks Norm
