Chicken!!! I really miss the 6 cylinder 5 speed cabriolet that I sold in one of my many moments of weakness. It was distinctive and quick, and much more sports car like than the V12s. Still, the V12 eats up miles like no other car, and if you get a pre January 1 89 car it has the Lucas ignition. (No jokes here....) A clever technician(!!) can tweek more power AND mpg out of them. (See modifing the advance curve) Of course the rest of the powertrain has to be fettled properly as well, and the driver needs to be attuned to what is going on under the hood. And if you change the fuel lines, the "Ring of Fire" remains dormant Now if I could find a Ferrari or Lambo for XJS money I would up grade in an instant, but until then, or a suprise lottery win.......

heh. Yup. Had my hands in too many of 'em for payin' clients. All the issues from gummed dizzy advances to full-on R&R. My usual "Rule #1" is: If any component part of the engine outweighs me, I don't want to actually OWN one. wink

If ya find a 'cheap' Ferrari, find out if it has a sister. jester

Man., If I find a Fazzaz at what I can get an XJS for, I'll split it with you. (And at that price, I'll keep one jar of italian rust, and I'll mail you the other)

I already have some Fiat 124. Should I mix and try for a Lancia?
