Are the hide and copper ends of Thor hammers replaceable? I have an old hammer with the patent number on the head which I would like to retain.

The hide end at least comes out. I have an older one that it came out of on it's own.

I have discussed this with the Thor company and they use special equipment to insert the hide and copper ends, and also run a replacement service, but unless you can take them around yourself, it is cheaper to buy a new one.

I do not know if any one has tried to install the ends.

A new one is not as good as the old one which the patent number on it which makes it appropriate for my BN2. Not as a hammer, mind you (like the jack is really not useful as a jack).
