I would agree with 72% of that.
However (and knowing the ignition/carb issues), I fought a British idle issue for almost a year, getting it better, but not quite right.
Finally, backed one of the pilot jets out a smidge (to allow more fuel past), and presto!
Took my trusty pin-vise and numbered drill bits, went from a .018 to about a .022 and my idle mixtures work, idle is smooth, part-throttle nibble is gone!
I kept figuring the Lucas distributor.
