Well just drat! Last weekend I installed all new brake lines. Then I ordered new flex lines for the calipers and also two new Brake fluid resevoir bottles. I was hpoing the stuff would arrive Friday so I could have spent the week end working on it. Instead, it arrived teh following Monday and minus one of the two bottles I had ordered (and paid for). I know it was an honest mistake, but just darn!

Know your pain, I ordered a new top on 6/23 for BJ8 I am finishing. They said I would have it in 5-7 days. I still don't have it, I called Monday and they said I should have it Friday (maybe).

Still thinking about starting a 64 XKE coupe this Fall if I don't change my mind and do a TR3. Its been 10 years still I did my 68 roadster.

Tony,

I've been out in the Garage working. Now at the front door waiting for UPS. Come over and see the new projects. I've changed out several cars since you have been here.

W C Handy Festival is next week so you can come listen to some music as well. Karen sings Monday, Wed and Sat.

Just realized I never ordered Karen's CD...no wonder my drives have been so boring.

Checks in the mail.

Handy is just starting. It runs this whole week, thru the 25. You still have time. Karen sings Monday night, Weds lunch and then 8-10 that night. Again on Sat. night at the all stars jam. I won't get much LBC work done this week.

I had the opportunity to hear her sing at the Handy festival when I was in Huntsville on business a couple of years ago (also met Marvin). I had a couple co-workers in tow. It was definitely the highlight of the trip.

Her website is www.karengruber.com, you can hear her sing a couple of her songs there, then order one from there or just email her at kdgruber12aol.com and she will send you one. They are also on CDbaby but cost more. Email her!

Thanks for the kind words.

Marv

Nothing currently planned, but with the work I'm involved in, Huntsville is a common stop, so I'm sure I'll be that way eventually.

Tony,
Like you, I have scaled back some. Not doing any MGBs at all. Would like to sell all my MG stuff. Will buy XKE's, TR4/250, TR6s and 3000s.

Basil, I would have to agree. Good movie, thats about my luck.

Tony, you missed a good Handy gig Sunday night, the Kelly O'Neal band had a couple of old school guys set in (they were from H'vlle) for a couple of songs. You talk about good! They were passing thru on the way to play a gig in Canada.

Marv, that movie was made (or some of it was) up in Madrid, NM, just a few miles north of my location. Madrid is a little Hippy-Dippy town that is a favorite spot for tourists. We make pretty regular drives up there on week ends.

Back to the topic of my thread - my other brake fluid bottle came last night along with a some new (correct) rubber tubing to go from the bottles to the master cyls. With a little luck I'll have the entire brake system hooked up and ready to fill and bleed, but I have a question (which I'll post in a separate thread).

Just visiting folks (Normally on the AH Forum) and I'm glad I did Marvin. Loved the music, ordered a CD.

Thanks Johnny, Sorry Basil, didn't mean to take over the thread. Lets get back to the XKE stuff. I pulled out a smallmouth TR3 this week to get running but plan to start the 64 XKE coupe this fall. It will be a major, full blown, at least a year project.
