My new set of brake lines for my EType just arrived! The fun part is going to be trying to remember how the are installed (it has been a few years since I removed the old ones).

Excellent news! How's it progressing?

I actually spent most of the day in the garage beginning the installation! Got some of it done, but there are a few areas that I'm not real sure about how things are routed so I will need to do some research. But I am making some progress!

I've got the Jag outside in the sunshine today finishing up installing the brake lines! Decided to take a few pictures (attached). I still have to buy and install new brake fluid bottles (expensive) and new flex hoses (probably going to go with steel braided). After that, I'll be ready to fill & bleed the brake system!

In - on my back. Getting the crossover (bridge) pipes screwed in on the tops of the calipers was the hardest part.

Today I ordered stainless steel flex hoses, new brake fluid bottles and a new brake bottle heat shield. Hopefully by next week I'll be able to pressure up the system.

Egad.

Congratulations. That is a singularly hateful task. On any full resto that thing would be out on the floor until every sub-system is in place. Way less aggro, IMO. wink

"I have a dream." My goal is to finally have this sucker back on the road in time for next year's Father's Day car show in Edgewood.

Now, THAT is a goal worthy of the car.... Progress looks good, and once you have brakes, well, it will feel like a car again all of a sudden.

Tony, she's been sitting on her own wheels since I finished the IRS last year:
