Does anyone where I can find the nut and sleeve for a bugeye fuel line. This is the one that attaches the fuel line to the Gas Tank. Both Moss and Vic Brit show the nut but not the sleeve for the seat to the tank outlet. I'm told locally that I need a bubble flair for a 1/4" fuel line. All I can find are 3/16" sleeves

If it is the same as the return line for a 1500, I've got one you can have. I'll chop up the line but that's no problem.
anyone know?

Try Victoria British. Listed on page 84 of their Fall 2008 catalog. the nut is listed for $6.95, but no ferrule is listed. '65 and later seems to be a different design. Scott in CA

The Service Parts List shows the nut as P/N 6K648 and the olive (sleeve) as P/N 6K685. I got a new nut and olive at Royal Brass and Hose in Knoxville when I had them build me a new line.

I tried calling Royal Brass and Hose in Knoxville to see if they had the ferrule in stock as Whitephrog had suggested but with the holiday weekend they are closed.I was able to locate the part in England via the internet but that will take a while to arrive. Other than the fuel line all I have to do is a final wiring check, bleed the brakes and Fire it up! It's been a LONG five year project and I'm getting antsy.I've spent the better part of the week looking for one little part.

You should be able to find a local shop like Royal Brass and Hose, places that do hydraulic lines for trucks and construction equipment.

Once again, if it is the same as the 1500 return line, I can have it off today - will still take a week+ to come from Canada but, quicker than Blighty

Thanks for the offer John but as I understand the ferrule I need is different from the later Sprites and Midgets. The nut and ferrule I need is for 1958 to 1965 Spridgets. I imagine they changed the hardware around to meet E.P.A. standards.I see Vic Brit has the ferrule for the 1965 to 1974 tank. I called them and they confirmed the parts weren't interchangeable. Thanks Again.
