G'Day fellas,
On engine start up I have what sounds like a stuck valve or something else related. It makes a rapid "tick, tick, tick" sound. This noise goes away once the engine is revved. I have been thinking about oil conditioners like Lucas Oil or Sea-foam as a potential fix. Any recommendations or advice?

Quick, immediately google "timing chain tensioners" on your engine. If you do not know that the tensioners in your engine have been replaced with the newest updated tensioners. Stop Running The Car right NOW!!!! The only warning you get before catastrophic timing chain failure is (sometimes) a ticking sound. Get this checked out by someone that knows the car post haste. If could always be something else, but this is a known expen$ive problems with V8s of your era.

Hello Jesse,
I recently just upgraded the secondary tensioners a month ago to generation III and I have plans to do the primary tensioners ASAP but I am trying to get everything figured out with pulling the radiator and the AC grill for access. The noise was around before I upgraded the secondaries and is still around (ever so briefly), so maybe it is one of the primary tensioners or guides about to go on the fritz.
Thanks for the worthwhile advice.
