I want to offer this up before I yank it out so that the buyer can judge the running condition, which is fantastic.

This will be an all inclusive deal, alternator, weber carbs, headers, starter, the whole shebangs.

So what's a fair price?

In my opinion all you can tell by hearing it run is that it is a good core. Unless you have put several hundred miles on it and can advise the oil consumption and true hot oil pressure its a gamble. I started a MGB engine in my 73 that has been sitting for 25 years. Sounds great and good oil pressure. Compression is within 2 lbs of 140 on all 4. Having no history on the oil mileage i will be tearing it down for a rebuild. Also hard to look at the cam and lifters without tearing into it. I guess what i am saying is lots more info is needed to determine a fair price. Also look close for a external head crack. I look forward to other opinions on this topic. Bob

I've put in almost 2 thousand miles on the car.

Surely an engine that is driven is a far better bet than one that the owner just claims that "it ran when I pulled it".

Maybe it won't matter but I just wanted a general idea of a price.
