I have a 4 ton HF jack that's about 5 years old and is still in perfect condition. It's used all the time. Min height is 4.5 inches which is ok for everything I use it for. My son talked me into buying an aluminum racing jack, one that's used on nascar circuits. I won't say what it cost, that would only make me look dumber than I feel! It jacks so fast, that you almost have to put all your weight on it to lift a car. It's designed to lift race cars up fast that weigh nothing. What a waste of money! I bought a Hein Werner for lower clearance. Believe it or not, it's made here and not imported. Works very well and I would buy their brand again.

Not exactly on subject, but I park on a piece of 2x6, about a foot long, at each front wheel that raises the chassis just enough for most 2-ton jacks to fit under. FWIW
