Im 17 and doing an exhibition project of rebuilding the engine on a sprite and i was wondering how should i approach taking out the engine. should i leave the transmission attached to the engine or unbolt it.

I think it's easier to take the engine and transmission out together. You'll probably generate more discussion if you ask the question on the spridget list.
