Anyone have any tips or a good product to reccomend to get this old carpet cement off?,,,, dang stuff is hard as a rock!

Heat gun and putty knife. Hair dryer may work, if it gets hot enough.

I've had great results with "3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner". It softens the glue but doesn't even mar the paint underneath.
