I thought I'd try this picture posting again. Purchased this car yesterday. Thanks for the help on this board.

Oooooo! Nice!

Looks like very unmolested and original (to my non-expert eyes, anyway).
Even still has a generator.

Congrats and have fun!

Mighty nice looking car, and unmolested-looking!

Drive safely, especially if you're not used to driving Tigers! They can get away from you very quickly, especially in high speed turns.

Keep us posted! thumbsup

The prior owner has had it for 34 years and done a very nice job with it. He's done some chrome bits under the hood that are not my cup of tea and I will probably change. He moved the oil filter to under the car. I think it's probably better but I'll change it back to stock. This car is one of the somewhat rare LRO cars. It's a very high chassis number Mk1 made left hand drive for sale in Europe rather than the US. It carries
Alpine 260 badges rather than the Ford or Sunbeam or V8 badges.
Spec plates of all cars call them Alpine 260 but this one was actually sold in Europe as an Alpine 260 not as a Tiger because of German and French copyright issues. The few in the USA were brought here by returning servicemen. The owner before the last one was an airman.

I was sent a link which clarifies a bit about the LRO Tiger
