on my 1974, the washer spray nozzle on the drivers side is loose, and I can't see how I would get underneath it to tighten it back up.

this ever happen to anyone else?

any tips appreciated.

There's a nut on the underside of the cowl behind the dashboard. It's a pain to get to, and if I remember correctly a clear path is obstructed by the wiper gear rack.

And... (now I'm trying to be helpful) the tubing is often hardened so do not try to remove it (if possible) unless you are prepared to replace the nozzle AND the tubing.

About 4 years ago, I got tired of rain coming in at the drivers side windshield wiper arm and decided to fix it, which started a 3 1/2 year total restoration.
Jesse may be right.
I installed mine before the dash, so I can't give any tips.
Oh, it still leaks there a little. Not sure why, installed a new washer/gasket
and put some silicon around the opening first. This time, I will live with the leak.

Joe,
you can always remove the glove box and center console and lay on your back and try to get a hand up there. Any way you try, won't be easy. Good luck.

there is another choice, you can get a spider monkey and train him to turn wrenches and climb under the dash and fix it.hahaha

Try replacing the choke cable without removing the radio console. Where are those darn MOWOGS when you need them.

It's an easy job if your arm has an extra three or four joints in it, otherwise I'd suggest using a small dab of super glue on the outside and wait until the car needs a total rebuild. They're that hard to get to!
