I need to punch two holes in the side of the radiator support side pieces to run oil cooler hoses. With BE Bonnet in place I thought I had clearance to tuck hoses in there along top but hoses are keeping me from getting bonnet all of the way back where it needs to go.

Anyone done this already? Got any tips? Thinking one of those simple hole saws will do the job or is there something better an eletrican uses to punch conduit holes in a electrical box.

Two holes to make, 2 time use tool. Is there something special better than a standard hole saw principally designed for cutting holes in wood. Something with hacksaw type teeth.

Yes there is, check Harbor Freight maybe they have a use twice and throw away hole punch.

Otherwise get the proper drill. Small pilot hole first.

As an electrician, I can tell you a hole saw will work just fine. Be ready to smooth the edges. Another option is a Unibit. That way you can gradually increase the hole size until you have the EXACT clearance you desire. The hole PUNCHES that we use are for placing the hole the EXACT place you want it. No worries about drill bit wander, tho you have to use a drill bit for your initial hole. .....

If it were ME, a UNIBIT. make a pilot hole first, and the Unibit will last and last.

My nice stainless forward kit came while I was at the Loto. Now for some nuts bolts and spacers. Yep I have the David Hill instructions and booklet.

Plan to do this in the fall when I pull the engine.........again.

Meanwhile working on some small things and stocking parts.

Greenlee punches make perfect holes. just drill a 3/8 hole and insert the punch and tighten. You know any electricians?
