I like the '67 with the full convertible top and 1275 with a better crank for that year only (nitrided? I think), but otherwise looks the same. Have been fortunate enough to have owned two of them. (not that I have anything against the '66, which was my first car, but was a Sprite.
Also like the round wheel arch cars well as the series II Sprite and Series I middget, just because you don't see too many of them anymore.

Apparently the rarest of the rare. Only one of that body style Spridget at LotO! Removable top like the earlier, wind up windows like the later.

I like the 66 because it's got legitimate windows and the top removes for a clean roadster look. I swear it's not just because that's the year I've owned Also, it's got all the gauges and interior items it needs and none of the ones it doesn't. I prefer the sprite since it is devoid of the chrome strip on the hood. I think Pythias has my twin car. Mine is a bit newer I guess since my VIN ends is HAN8L59710. I don't remember what my other '66 was, but it was within 200 of my current one.

Those are great looking midgets! A guy I know up here has a 66 restored to concurs condition. It's Old English White and magnificent, I saw it two days ago at a cruise in and my eyes always pop! I love the chrome stripes.

Drew, I put it on my watch list the other day when I first noticed it. I sold a '66 Midget a couple years ago for $3K and it's available again for $4500...after a quite nice restoration that brought the total investment to over $6K. I'm tempted...there are a few things the car needs, the tranny is notchy and the grille is wrong (Sprite...should be a slatted Midget), but those things can be remedied pretty easily. I have to agree, the mid-year Midgets are a favorite of mine...especially since my very first car was a '65. Ray circa 1968
