Man, things are hectic around my place...since the end of March, we've attended 3 family funerals (my sister-in-law, then my mother, then Jerri's sister-in-law Sunday!)...I hope that, since we've had our 3, they're over for quite some time.
Grandson & son-in-law came up Friday (daughter was at a firm retreat) & spent the night & most of Saturday for Father's Day...I've got photos of his visit I'll post later today (there's one neat photo you all will like!!)...then, after they left Saturday afternoon, we headed for the funeral in Tennessee). Got home last night & we're both beat.
Got 3 orders packed this morning for FEDEX to pick up this afternoon & am getting ready to place another order with Moss...
Now, the '63:
Found out why I've been having so much trouble getting pistons in the block (remember, I broke all my 5th rings while trying to install them & reordered rings)...thought it was that the machine shop hadn't champfered the tops of the cylinders when they bored the block so dropped it off with them last week...they called Friday to say it was the 5th ring, that its not compatible with the pistons....called Moss & learned there is a problem with those paticular pistons but they thought it was solved. That's okay though, I just told the machine shop to install 4 rings & forget the 5th 'sweeper ring'...Moss is flagging that parts number for additional testing when the next batch comes in....I'm going down to pick up the block for final assembly.
I got the front bumper installed Friday before grandson arrived & got the windshield assembly to the glass shop for them to disassemble & reassemble with all new stuff.....rear bumper will go on today before I tackle the engine assembly.
But, I've also gotta cut 3-1/2 acres of grass today since we head out Thursday to St. Simeon's Island for Jerri's niece's wedding (at least it'll be a more pleasant family weekend than the last one!).
...&, when we stopped by Jerri's farm in Tennessee over the weekend while at the funeral, the guy who leases it for hay hasn't done anything to about 50 acres all year - thistles were higher than Jerri, fences were down, electricity isn't working properly....so, she gave him a piece of her mind & he's starting bushhogging today...now I've gotta go check on that & get somebody in to repair fences...& she's gotta contact the electric coop to see if the problem is theirs or on our side of meter...I'll have to solve that as the electric fence for cattle isn't working! At least the rest of the fields - flat, not hilly like that 50 acres - were maintained beautifully!
I'm pushing to finish this car & the world's fighting me! Sorry for the rant....

Now that sounds like an AWESOME idea....load up the car, any remaining parts and an assortment of necessary tools and head down to LoO. Spend some GREAT time with fellow BCF'ers and many hands make short work! Good times, great friends and awesome cars...life doesn't get much better than THAT!
