I feel bad I havent posted any news on my finished #54 here on the Spridget forum in some time. Ive been chiming in lately here and there but havent kept everyone up to date. So here goes.

I raced in once at Pocono in May (spun a rod bearing)
Dumped a whole lotta more funds into last month and ran it again at a new track in NJ last weekend with better success. Just recived a new Air dam which matches my body kit today and with the new baby on the way It wont see the track again until August. But Im still running the Triumph lump even after trying to kill it again I havent given up opn it. In fact I dumped more parts in it to try and make it more race worthy. Been coming along nicely. Heres a pic of the new air dam mocked up. Once this heat wave spins outta town Ill spray and fit it with likely some 1/4 turn fasteners.

Looking real good!

Today, I'm doing rod bearings and thrust washers on my 1500 (I just drove back from Moss).

I hate doing this job....makes my neck stiff and I always get tons of motor oil in my hair.

My old ones have about 25 hours on them and they look horrible. I'm planning on keeping the RPMs below 5700 the rest of the season. The crank is only 0.010" under so I have room if I need to cut more.
I should have a new engine (or new race car) by Winter.

Hope we get out to play together with the two 1500s at some point.

Yeah...that might work, but I have to check with The Boss.

That's a Monday. I'll be there the two days before that for the NASA-NE "Grand Slam" weekend with the Escort, but it's an easy tow. Just have to roll one car off and put the other one on.

I'll let you know in the next few days.

I am contemplating it. $175 limited to 50 cars. Sounds like good value. Ive been taking much time from work too so we'll see.

I just checked our calendar.

We're going to Rehoboth that day (for the week), so I will not be able to make it.
I'm going to look through other dates (with COM, CART and others) and see if I can make any other dates.

They may start opening up E-town for "open track" days soon...that might be fun.

And that is so nice. Almost a shame to run it.

Cool! I was born in Monmouth County, living in VA now, but we get up that way (Toms River) fairly often. Might have to look at scheduals...

That is one mean looking MG! How much ground clearance do you have with the air dam piece fitted?

3" Bairly clears the driveway. I have to cut the wheel all the way and sneak it out.
