The eletric fuel pump on the old +2 is getting real weak (it barely fills the bowls) anyone have any suggestions for a replacement? There's only about hundred different brands out there and the old one I have is a no-name.

Low pressure Facet works well, I've used 'em with Webers on Lotus, Alfa and MGB. Currently have a Carter P60504 in-line on the Spider and it also works fine.

Nope. Neither one of those pumps has pushed fuel past the needles. I mounted all of 'em at the back so they do more "push" than "suck" too. The Carter is REALLY quiet, it is a "lift" impeller type meant to be mounted in the tank on injected cars to keep the "real" pump supplied on startup. Been in the Alfa a year now with no issues. I don't featherfoot the Alfa either, so there aren't any volume concerns. It's a breathed-on 1750cc with twin DCOE's and 11mm lift cams. I'd recommend the Carter at this point.

Thanks for the info. 1750's are great running engines. I had a 1600 Duetto about 20 years ago.

That was as a joke. Homage to Shankle more than its Ferrari cousins.

Unfortunately the red paint has pretty much flaked away by now. frown

Those Italians sure make nice castings. It's makes the 1.6 in the plus 2 look a little plain.
