But if I am not kept at a perfect 68-72f, I will freeze or wilt. The temp must be puuuuurfect, and it must be perfect noooooooow. </whine>

I figure I will just secure the VB-sourced plastic "repro" hose with zip ties through those three holes.

I saw on a 77 in the junk yard the remnants of the inlet hose. It was plastic, and had a molded end in the form of a sort of scoop and it appeared to be ribbed in a way that suggested that it should be pushed through the grill apron so that it was retained by the ribs. Perhaps this is how it was in 1969?

I'll keep an eye out for them on my next trip to the boneyard.

I added my name to my sig. The handles, 58custom and Tom Custom, are used on many different forums and they help me reference posts. I'm into a lot of stuff.

My '58: http://www.geocities.com/styleline58/

My Cleveland engine forum: http://www.351cleveland.net

My veggie VW diesel (sold): http://www.freewebs.com/vegtruck/

Short attention span since 1963.

OK. I'll get one tomorrow. I just got my heater motor today and put it all together. I just shoved the replacement hose through the inner apron and it is held in place nicely by tension.

So now I know that my fan switch is broke. Figures.
