I'm sure many of you have seen the thread in the "Forum Happenings" about the future of BCF. After much consideration and discussion with many of the members in that thread, I have decided to offer optional "subscriptions" to members who wish to contribute to BCF and help us continue to grow and improve.

The BCF remains a free forum and there are no restrictions on the number of posts you can make as a free member. However, to help offset cost of operations, not to mention provide a modicum of compensation for the time I put into this place daily, I have set up four levels of subscription; Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each level offers increasing capabilities in terms of the number of attachments you can add to a post, the size of files you can attach. Also, each level allows for larger number of Private Messages in your inbox as well an larger numbers of members you can "invite" to a Private Message. The Gold level also allows you (if you want it) to have a "Blog" hosted on my server with an address of [blogs.britishcarforum.com/your_user_name]. The Platinum level will allow you to host your personal, non-commercial web site on the BCF servers...registration of your domain name is not included, but you can do that at places such as www.Dotster.com

To see the differences in the various subscription levels, see this link >> Subscriptions

Click on the headers of each item to see a brief description of each feature.

If you have any questions, send me a PM or use the Contact Us link.

Basil

PS: Geez, I forgot the most important thing....If you decide you would like to subscribe, click on My Stuff (while logged in) then click on Subscriptions from the drop-down menu.

If you would like to make a voluntary, anonymous donation (anonymous except I'll know who you are), look for the Donate Button at the top part of the Forum Page Intro Section. Also, check the video I made discussing the new optional subscription system. (It's a YouTube video).
