Has anyone been annoyed by too much play in the clutch pedal linkage? I have! My pedal has an oblong hole that has worn through the years and creates play in the linkage rod leading to the master cylinder. I replaced the clevis pin, noted there is not a gasket between the fire wall and MC.

IM wondering if any of you have added adjustable shafts to the clutch. The brakes seem to have a solution by factory design...

Thanks

John

Hi John,
I’m not sure how an adjustable linkage rod would help with an oblong hole? It seems it would just be loose at a different height. If too much material has been worn away, maybe have the hole welded up and re-drilled. Or drill large enough to get a round hole and sleeve it. I don’t think the adjustment is there for anything else but balancing the two pedals (with consideration to the accel pedal), so only one would be needed. Makes sense to me it would be the center pedal.

Thanks Greg,

The worn pedal can be re drilled if I choose to pull the assembly down and work on the bench. Just was curious if anybody else had an easier fix.

Regards

John
