Don't really have any figures on speed.

I do know that, with the ultra close box's 2:51 first gear, it is not super fast off the mark. IMO, 30-90 is where it really shines. drive That's fine with me, burnouts and drag racing are pretty low on my priority list.

That's a gorgeous car! Just wonderin', couple of questions on that Lotus:

1) What's the retail price tag on a Lotus like that?
2) About how much HP would such a Lotus engine put out?

Really exotic-looking. Chic magnet! laugh

Thanks guys. blush

The price tag is, ummm, waaayy too high. All the body and paint and other labor, outside of engine machining, was done by me, so that saved a lot.

The motor was set up to be strictly a street unit, geared more toward torque than sheer hp. Cams are relatively mild, and it still retains stock (Lotus Big Valve) valves and valvetrain. On a Dynojet chassis dyno, it produced peaks of 140 hp, and 133 lb/ft of torque.

Purist or not it's impressive. Polished valve covers and all. Not sure the old +2 would look good with them!
