I recognized the car from the MG Experience webpage. Spridget folks seem to get around.

lol, Spridget folks are pretty "popular"

there's a lot more activity on BCF, but I still visit MG Experience daily as well.

just found your pictures on MG Experience, what a great looking car, and amazing the shape it's in. I just bought my car this past June, and have driven it almost daily since, no buyers remorse here . . .

None here either. We got a great price and it's the only one for many, many miles around. We thought we were going to have to travel to Southern Cal, Texas or something like that, and pay big bucks to get a nice one. Wouldn't you know it, a couple days after we decided to start looking for an MG in earnest, this one shows up in the paper, and 25 miles away.... It was meant to be.

I always said I would never have a black car or a silver car..... well I have one of each.... I think the black is perfect now.. especially with the red interior.

I just saw the picture you posted of your interior, absolutely gorgeous.

With my car, I wasn't even looking for a car, much less an MG. But I saw mine on Craigslist and I always wanted a British sports car, so I replied to the posting, and about 2 month later I bought it ! Mine has 39k miles, the engine has never been pulled, and there isn't any bodywork done on the car, it's all original, and in pretty great shape. I probably paid more than I should have at $5k, but this I knew I have no restoration skills, but I do have good auto maintenance skills.

So I kicked my wife out of her garage, and the Midget get taken out almost every day, never in the rain !!!

I still can't believe the car you got !!!

I think I will take her our for some takeout Tai food right now !!!

That is what we paid for ours too. I don't think it is too much to pay for one in that condition. I think we have two of the most desirable Midgets. A MK 1 and a RWA. You can't get any better than that (unless you want to throw a 67 in there too! One important prerequisite for us was, a very good original or a good resoration. I did not want to spend the next several years restoring a car before I could enjoy it. I have done that too many times. I want to drive and tinker now.. In a couple years I'll get the bug again and start looking for a good restorable TF, TD or "A" to strew around the garage. The Midget is my driver.
