Every now and then someone tries to retrieve a temporary password because they have forgotten theirs. But sometimes they have changed email addresses and have not updated their profile. Please be sure, if you change email addresses or providers, to update your member profile here. Otherwise, any email sent from our server (including passwords) will not make it to your inbox.

If you find BCF a useful resource, please consider becoming a subscribing member. To learn about becoming a subscriber, visit the "Subscriptions" page found under the "My Stuff" dropdowns. Or, just Click Here Click on any of the "Details" links to see what each subscription level offers.
Of special note is if you become a Platinum member (just $110 per year), you can host your very own web site on our server. I'm especially interested in hosting websites for British car clubs, but what the hey, I'm even hosting a High School's web site now!
If you're interested or just have questions, please use the Contact Us link on the left, or at the bottom of the page here to email me.

DAVE RUSSELL AWARD
As many of you know, British Car Forum member Dave Russell passed away this past December (2008). Dave was a member of the BCF since August 2nd, 2002 and was a prolific contributor to various forums.
Dave was a retired Engineering Supervisor who had many hobbies, including a background in motorcycle racing. Soon after he retired, Dave bought a 1956 Austin Healey. Of course, each and every part had to be removed, checked, and replaced if necessary. His knowledge of automotive system was encyclopedic and he was always there with a good answer, no matter how basic or complicated the question. Very often his posts contained detailed diagrams or photos. Dave was a natural helper and gifted teacher, and he inspired and encouraged many to resolve their issue and pursue their goal. Dave will be missed.
I am pleased to announce that we at British Car Forum have established the “Dave Russell Award” to be presented annually to a member of the British Car Forum in recognition of his or her outstanding contribution to the BCF community during the previous year. The first award will be made in January 2010, based on nominations received for 2009.
Any member of the British Car Forum may nominate any other member, including him or herself. Details on how to make the nominations, the format, etc., will be announced at the appropriate time.
Consideration should be given not only to the quantity of a nominee’s posts but also their quality, including how informative, relevant, etc. they are. Ultimately it is the purpose of the award to recognize and honor a member’s contribution to the British Car Forum community as exemplified so well and so often by Dave Russell.
Nominations will be accepted beginning each December 1 and may be made either to a forum moderator or directly to me. Nominations will close on December 31 and thereafter I will consult with the various moderators, make a final selection and announce the recipient by January 31.
As the year progresses and you participate in the British Car Forum please keep this award in mind so that come December you may be in a position to make—and perhaps even receive—a nomination.
Thanks

This is just a reminder to any Club Presidents or webmasters here that a great way to support BCF is to host your club's web site on the BCF servers. I can host your site for as little as $9/mo.
You will have full access to your site via CPanel administrator panel. I can also provide the necessary Front Page extensions if you use Front Page to create and publish your website, otherwise any FTP program can be used to access and upload files.
We use cPanel admin back end to allow you to manage your site, view statistics, and set up email accounts. Here is a partial screenshot of cPanel:
If you are interested, please contact me through the "Contact Us" email link, or just send me a PM.
