Description: I was up in the attic this morning and saw some GT6 mk1 parts. I guess I don't need them around but they are not in the way either. I was going to get some pictures but thought I would just see if anyone needed these more than I do. The list of glass is, Windscreen condition is uncracked and not delaminated. Both door side glass with regulators and most likely handles both inner and outer. Both vent windows with chrome frames. both rear opening back windows (well I think the use to open). The hatch glass is gone some time ago. GT6 hub caps from a mk2 or 3, the chromed metal ones. lots of other parts that may be around too. call if interested in specific parts. prices all depend on if you come by and bring cash or make me do real work to give better decriptions and haver to pack and shiop the various parts. Description: <div class="section-padding"> This Fairthorpe EM Mark 2 was manufactured in 1963. It was raced in the UK by John Heseltine with the Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) before it was "exported" to the US in the early 1980s. The car is right-hand-drive, and has an 1147cc, four cylinder engine. The engine is fed through twin SU (H.S.2) carburetors. Like many of the components of Fairthorpe cars, the engine was sourced from Triumph, and is the same engine as used in the Triumph Herald. The car has what Fairthorpe referred to as a "Speed Nose" -- an option from the factory. It is unclear whether this car was delivered complete from the factory, or as a kit. As with many small-volume English car manufacturers, kit versions were offered to avoid the taxes associated with completed cars. The Fairthorpe has a fiberglass body with a "box section steel tubular frame". Disc brakes in the front and drum in the rear -- rack & pinion steering -- 13" steel wheels. There are probably fewer than 300 Fairthorpes in existance -- and the car is extremely rare here in the US. The car has a clear title and can be licensed for street use. (And it would be relatively easy to recommission it for vintage racing, as it is set up with racing seatbelts and a roll bar.) The car comes with a red convertible top -- but the top is in rough condition and would be best used as a pattern for a new top. The car also has side curtains and a hard top -- but the top may not be restorable. Description: These seats are in excellent condition. cushions are new with less than 50 hours of use, new diaphragms (one diaphragm has a small tear from when I installed them. Covers are two years old and could have 100 hours on them. I don't have back stiffener boards installed. Seats have great slides. I'm selling them because the seats from the early B's don't have enough back support for my old bones and I' got new seats from a '73 that offer much more support, even if they aren't "proper". Frames are good, seats recline as they should. there's nothing wrong with them at all. Asking $300.00 Moss has cushions alone for $225, covers are $320.00. Description: AUSTIN FX4 British Taxi Project Car or for parts Details: *the year is either late 1950's - early 1960's; the last number is hard to see *except for it having NO MOTOR, to the best of my knowledge, most or all of the parts are there *all lights/lenses, and their housings are there *all wheels, and a spare is there; tires deteriorated, and it will have to be hauled on a full trailer *dash is ripped apart, but all or most of the gauges are there, as is the old wiring *heater unit *no ignition, door, or trunk keys *old fare chart in it *partial old cracked Cavern Club poster...NO, it does not feature the Beatles *all seats are in it; the back seats, and jumper seats are in nice shape, but there might be a slit in one of them; front seats have some tears *running boards *exterior mirrors are there *steering shift is there *both bumpers *interior is mostly tan *all doors are there, but some of the interior panels are torn or broken; all of them close, but the front passenger door is a bit difficult, but does close *headliner is ripped *all windows, including the interior sliding access one, are in good shape except the rubber gaskets are deteriorated; I see no sign of interior water damage *accommodates 2 batteries; both are  there, but surely they must be dead, and probably cannot be revived *corrosion by the 'rabbit ear' orange lights, as well as on bottom edge; according to research, this corrosion is typical in the same places  for all these taxis *floor is intact; I didn't see any holes, and because it's been stored for awhile, I don't see any type of droppings to indicate animals have gotten in *the chrome hardware is there, and in pretty good condition for its age; this includes the ash trays, door handles, trunk handle, etc. *trunk lid closes fairly well *hood and grill are there; the grill has a few dents, and maybe one small tear *except for the corrosion, the body isn't in bad shape; you can see in the photo that there is some primer painted on it, probably because someone may have painted graffitti *I do not have the manual   History and DMV info: I have had this taxi since 2001, and do not have the papers. I have no reason to believe there is any lien interest in it. It was left behind, and given through a 3rd party in return for engine work. Then it was left with me. The guy who originally traded it for engine work, had 2 of them, and wanted to make 1, for him and his wife. They divorced, and I think it's just bitter grapes for him, and he moved on. I was in contact for several years, and if he party wanted it back, I would've heard about it. I've got a set of personalized California plates on it with tags of 1990, that say 'Brit taxi.' To the best of my knowledge I've given you all the details I can think of. Great ideas for profit: *restore it for a wedding or special event ride; rent it out, or chauffer it...it has a lot of potential *would be a great project-in-process, and a nice store front at a swap meet. Who wouldn't want to walk up to it, and check it out. You could put it on a trailer, and sell wares out of it, and set up a fold up table with velvet on it to match its antiquity. Display antiques, and they will come. You'd have the advantage of folding up shop very quickly, and driving out. Then you take a portion of your profits, and do something new to the car, and in time the sales will help pay for the restoration; *great if you want to make money on the parts; I hear they aren't that hard to get, but often they have to be ordered from Britian, and that takes up shipping costs; if you have a place to store it, the parts should bring you some decent money *sell it or use it in your restaurant, and rent out the booth for extra money; make it interactive with the lights, etc., and people will enjoy dining in it *since the motor isn't there, you can customize it for racing, or maybe make it a 'Green car' and put it in a show, or even on a television show *convert it into a small RV for you and/or a couple, and even a couple children, for small trips *movie prop *displayed on a highway for your business up the road Payment terms: CASH ONLY! I might consider a money order, but on either transaction, I will require that we meet at my bank to verify that each is genuine.

Description: 1972 TR6 for sale. Runs, but is not currently drivable. It has an overheating problem that I do not have the time or patience to even begin to look into, which is why it is for sale. I have gone back to college and recently moved into an apartment, and do not have the time or space to deal with this car. It starts just fine, but begins to warm up and never settles into a comfortable temperature. The gauge just keeps going up. The thermostat is the only thing I've checked, and it's not that. Like I said, I don't have the time or money to track it down. Owned this car for 6 years now. The speedometer was swapped out for a different unit by the previous owner, so I don't know how many miles are on it. I worked at a restoration shop for TRs, Healeys, MGs, etc. etc. during the majority of my ownership of this car, which is how I came into possession of it. It has been meticulously maintained, and I have all receipts from my ownership, and a few from the previous owner. THE GOOD: Engine: has been completely rebuilt. Bored .040 over, new valve seals, guides, rings, bearings, front & rear seals, etc. etc. Runs like a clock and has plenty of power. Doesn't smoke at all. Monza exhaust system and Pacesetter header sound great. Dual Weber downdrafts. Electric fan. Brand new clutch & pressure plate, new throw-out bearing. Everything with this engine has less than 4,000 miles on it. I took compression after it overheated and it was very solid (168-175) all the way across the board. New rear suspension: Old lever shocks were swapped out for the tube shock conversion kit. Brand new electrical harness in the cockpit/dash and engine bay. Wiring was completely ripped out and redone about 5 years ago, and has not been hacked/modified/clipped in any way except to install a switch for the electric fan. Everything electrical works flawlessly, and has not given me a single problem during my ownership. No noises from transmission, drivetrain, anything. Very solid. New head unit/CD player. Seats are in great shape. Wooden dash has some wear, as do the carpets, but are very presentable. THE BAD: As I said before, it has an overheating problem that I don't have time to track down. It first started to overheat as I was leaving town and I pulled over immediately and shut it off. THE ENGINE DID NOT GO INTO THE RED ZONE ON THE TEMP GAUGE. Being a mechanic, I cut it off immediately when I saw it rising and parked it. The exhaust pipe is disconnected from the header. It's there, just needs to be slipped over the header down pipe. Has a little bit of rust on the rear valence panel. Could be patched very easily. Also the floorpans had been patched rather badly by a previous owner by cutting a hole in them, presumably where rust hole was, and then pop riveting a sheet of metal over them. There you have it. I've been as honest as I can possibly be. If you wanted a TR6 to restore, this is about as perfect a starter car as you could get. With a little work this could also be a great daily driver, which is what I used it for. It's always been very solid and reliable for me, and I hate to see it go, but I just don't have the time or space to work on it anymore.

In fact if you make haster you can get to drive the car before I remove the unit this weekend. I hate hoarding stuff so this is an excelletn opportunity for someone that can use this.</li> <li>New higher voltage alternator from same car purchased couple of months ago. It puts out I think 110A and I haven't let any Lucas smoke escape yet.</li> <li>Weber carburator and intake, 32/36. This of course runs.</li> <li>Aftermarket steering wheel with adapter. Used for about a week and I then went to Momo. I believe this is 13".</li> <li>Rubber bumper for front and rear with bolts. Description: spitfire parts are from late 60's to 1978, mostly 78. stuff fro earlier cars is mostly front and rear hubs, axles, front end. for the 76 and 78 there are doors, trunk lid, bonnet for 78, engine block, no crank, two cylinder heads, small parts, etc. there is a 389 rear end with six bolt holes in the top case. should fit spit or 73 gt6 with overdrive.very  small amount of gt6 stuff left.  too much to list it all. will ship when possible from new hampshire. email <a href="mailto:shiftknob@gwi.net">shiftknob@gwi.net</a> and PLEASE leave a contact number or call skip at 603 622 5292 for more info. please do not leave a reply here as i may not see it. just very busy. thanks.
