Hi folks- was browsing my local used bookstore at lunch today, and found this book sitting on the shelves. I have lots of Healey-specific books but hadn't seen this version of "The Modern Sports Car"- it's from May 1957 and was the 5th edition. The author was clearly proud of his 100!

Ok, you sucked me in......... here's my all time favorite vintage Healey picture.

Jerry Walsh and his Purple Onion Healey Racer........plus hood ornaments.

4"heels will dent the aluminum shrouds!! It looks like Jerry sacrificed the heels for the Healey's sake.

Dougie- that's one of my favorites too!
Try these- who knew you could paint a Healey for just $40?! (at least according to this how-to in "The Practical Handyman's Encyclopedia" from 1965)

I read recently that he married one of those "hood ornaments".

Great pics Jay! I really like that pic of the black 100 with red wheels/ white sidewalls...I've never seen that pin-striping treatment before but it's pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice, but I wouldn't trust her with the hammer. Here's a classic shot with the origanal 1957 MM Healey (Mille Miglia) # 414.
