Looking for touch up paint to fix some chips in the paint.
I would like both a small container of the paint plus some in a spray can..

email:support@ExpressPaint.com They couldn't guarantee a match for my J-H because they could not verify the color number I gave them. But, they shipped anyway and it was a perfect match to my eye. I bought a spray can and a touch up pen and have used both with good results. I'd bet that on Triumphs they have more experience and could give even better service.

If you have a sherwin williams auto paint supplier in your town, go there. I took my car to them, and they had a portable scanner that they used to "shoot" the color in a computer. They mixed me 2 spray cans of paint for around $40 that matched 100%.

I used paintscratch.com for touch-up paint on both my Magenta TR6 and airplane. The Triumph was mixed from their catalog and the Piper paint was matched by sending in a fairing (no exact color code was available). Both were excellent matches, with the Magenta being almost perfect. They can also provide spray cans. good luck, w

I took my TR3A to the DuPont auto paint shop...they came out
and brought a hand held scaner...BINGO...perfect match.

I recommend you go to a quality paint shop (I used the area PPG jobber) and have them scan your paint in several locations. Any paint will fade after a while and scanning it will give you an accurate code as the paint is now. Then have them mix a half pint of the color in acrylic enamel. You can use a fine camel hair brush to touch up rock marks, etc., by applying four or five thin coats, till the paint fills the defect. Acrylic enamel is self-shining and requires no other work on it. Easy, and cheap. Will go on over any kind of painted surface. Just make sure you de-wax the spot before you touch up.

Lucky for me I have white... I just use the stuff I got at Advance Auto thats supposed to match Honda's Frost White, and it came out great. Even if it is slightly off, just being close enough is fine usually... unless your a stickler with a superman-like keen color cense, you'll probably never notice the difference, especially when touching up tiny rock chips.

Always use the Wax and Grease remover 1st! Thats great advice.
