I got a few uninterrupted hours today. Got the car greased, adjusted hand brake, drained some oil out of differential, tightened front wheel hub, took off grille, fixed loose wire for driving light, re-routed hood release cable, reattached grille (1/4 the time and none of the blood compared to before) fitted tonneau, cleaned and armor-alled tonneau. played with carb. realized that my punch list only has 8 items left on it.
1. get it running right
2. get the washer fluid bottle installed and hooked
3. install top
4. install rubber stops under front shock arms
5. replace two broken snaps on tonneau
6. fix plastic seat belt hook on driver's side
7. put ground wire on gas tank
8. aim headlights and install trim rings.
I am very very close to moving from "restoring a car" to "having a restored car." and that makes me very very happy and only a tiny bit sad.
