Just got back from the monthly cruise night at New Smyrna Beach, Florida - put on by the "East Coast Cruisers". The town of New Smyrna Beach (between Daytona and Cape Canaveral) closes the main east/west street that ends at the Indian River, a couple miles from the Atlantic Ocean. The event is held the 2nd-Saturday of each month, between 5pm and 9pm.
This was my first visit to the event and it's a good one. Really well organized (like a real car show, not just a drive-in), the club hands out maps of the town, a list of food places on the street, and a copy of their own magazine - all for free.
I didn't count, but I imagine there were well over 100 cars there. Several British cars were there, including four MGs (all MGB roadsters), an Austin Healey 3000, Jaguar XK150, Jaguar E-Type coupe, two AC-Cobra replicas, and a couple of Triumph motorcycles.
I've put lots of pictures up at: https://1903.dns2go.com/nsb05web/ the British section starts on page 1.
The next NSB cruise night is June 8th.
