Any of you guys follow the antics of Mr. Bean and his poor old yellow Mini?

The poor thing has been through heck and back, and it still survives somehow.

And they also make an animated version now too, the animated episode I watched tonight had Mr. Bean consign the Mini to a scrapyard because it wouldn't start, then the scrapyard starts it right after Mr. Bean leaves the building and starts driving it around, Mr. Bean figures it out eventually and steals it back in a hilarious way by picking it up with the anchor attached to his homemade hot air balloon (don't ask...)

I've only seen a few episodes, but really enjoyed those. I also like Rowan Atkinson in Black Adder also.

He's a cool guy...Do you know that Rowan Atkinson is a big-time vintage racer?

Somewhere, I saw a picture of him driving some huge pre-war racer with an aero engine (I think at Goodwood).

Here's a shot of him driving an AC Ace in a vintage event in France.

I've heard that before, and seen his name mentioned a few times in relation to automotive events. Maybe that's why he was drawn to the Mini for his Mr. Bean character.

And I forgot to mention one other important car in the narative, who can forget the poor Reliant 3-wheeler van that Mr. Bean always pushes over.

I'm a big fan. Rowan Atkinson is a fellow enthusiast, and in fact used to write a regular column for "Car" magazine. Mr Bean is hilarious, but an animated version? Oh dear.

He crashed it.

I like Mr Bean but Black Adder is much better.

Mr Bean is absolutley hilarious, Black Adder is good too, anyone remember Not The Nine O'Clock News? I think that's what got him attention in the beginning.

He's always been into racing/fast cars/classic cars, he was quite a frequent visitor to Aston Martin when I worked there but he's a very odd person off the TV. Miserable as sin EVERY time he came, point blank refused to sign autographs and looked absolutley mutinous and started yelling at the Production Manager one time because everyone on the line was singing the theme tune to Black Adder! He owned/owns quite a few Astons over the years but then one day about 9 or 10 years ago he turned around and sold the whole lot and then wrote a really scathing article about how the company was the dregs of the automotive world in his column in Car magazine! Never found out what ticked him off so severely but he definitely seems a sandwich short of a picnic in real life!
